Switch soundbar to HDMI ARC input using remote. Press the INFO button a few times and the soundbar will display "FWXX"
If you do not have the latest version, please read this carefully before performing your upgrade

The firmware is strictly for all versions of Shockwafe Pro 7.1 Soundbar System only.

The firmware is downloadable on PC / Mac only.

Please follow the instructions stated on the Installation Guide on this page to ensure smooth upgrade.

It is crucial to perform a Soundbar Reset after firmware installation is completed.

FW34 & FW35, Dec 2020
FW35 December fixes a bug of which volume settings are not saved properly when using the memory button on FW35 October. All functions including audio and video processing stays the same between both firmware versions. This bug only affects models with serial number starting with S712007XXXX to S712010XXXX. There is no need to upgrade to this version if you do not face memory saving issues

INSTALLATION (A Step-by-step guide)

Only drives with these specs will work: USB2.0; Max Drive Size: 32GB.

Recommended drives: Kingston Datatraveler, Kingston Digital, SanDisk Cruzer Glide (32GB Max), Transcend JetFlash

Do not remove USB drive or turn off your Soundbar while upgrading.

Do not plug USB drive into the Subwoofer(s).

If the soundbar display is stuck on UPG or upgrade is not performing, it means your USB drive is not compatible.

If the soundbar is stuck permanently displaying UPG even after turning off, perform the following:
-
Power off the soundbar, plug in a proper spec'd usb drive with the firmware files, the upgrade will resume once soundbar is powered on.

Frequently asked questions
I am on FW33, can I directly download FW35 to update?

Whether you are on a firmware earlier than FW33 or on FW34, you can upgrade your soundbar to FW35. To ensure a smooth upgrade, please follow the instructions on the Installation Guide carefully.
The soundbar could not detect the USB Drive / The upgrade got stuck halfway. What should I do?

If the soundbar display is stuck on UPG or upgrade is not performing, it means your USB drive is not compatible. Only drives with these specs will work: USB2.0; Max Drive Size: 32GB

Be sure that USB drive is formatted to FAT16 / FAT 32. Click here for instructions on how to format the USB drive

If the soundbar is stuck permanently displaying UPG even after turning off, perform the following:

Power off the soundbar, plug in a proper spec'd usb drive with the firmware files, the upgrade will resume once soundbar is powered on.

My soundbar system / rear speakers does not work after the firmware upgrade.
