Option 1: Connect Macintosh computer's HDMI output to soundbar HDMI 2/3/4 with a HDMI-certified High-Speed 2.0 cable (18Gbps) for high quality video and audio. Recommended HDMI Cable >
Option 2: Connect Macintosh computer's Optical Out (SPDIF) to soundbar Optical In with a Optical cable
Dolby / DTS audio output only available via 3rd party video players:
Kodi Player (Dolby Atmos, DTS)
VLC Player (Dolby Digital, DTS)
It is reported that Mac OS system restricts the Mac computers support to output up to DTS 5.1 only. More details >

1. SYSTEM AUDIO OUTPUT
Go to Applications folder >
Utilities folder >
Audio Midi >
select HDMI audio (Nakamichi)

2. SURROUND CONFIGURATION
Go to Applications folder >
Utilities folder >
Audio Midi >
Configure Speaker >
select 7.1 Rear Surround >
click on Apply to save the settings

3. MEDIA PLAYER - VLC AUDIO
Launch VLC Player >
Audio >
Audio Device >
select HDMI (Encoded Output)

4. MEDIA PLAYER - KODI APP
Press INFO button on soundbar remote control to verify audio format received on soundbar (Dolby/DTS audio for best audio)
Option 1: Switch the soundbar to TVHDMI 1 input and observe the LED light status at the front of soundbar when playing content (3 LED = Dolby Digital; 2 LED = DTS)
Option 2: Switch the soundbar to OPTICAL input and observe the LED light status at the front of soundbar when playing content (3 LED = Dolby Digital; 2 LED = DTS)
