Connect Apple TV 4K (HDMI OUT) to TV HDMI input with a HDMI-certified High-Speed 2.0 cable (18Gbps) for high quality video and audio. Recommended HDMI Cable >
Audio will be sent out via TV's HDMI ARC to soundbar HDMI 1 ARC

For video apps such as iTunes, Netflix, Prime Video and Vudu with Dolby Atmos surround, Apple TV 4K outputs the audio signal in Dolby Atmos MAT format.
For streaming apps such as Netflix, Prime Video and Vudu with non-Dolby Atmos 5.1 surround, refer to item 4 to output Dolby Digial 5.1 for optimal surround performance.

As per Digital Trends testing, the Apple TV 4K super picky about which HDMI cables you’re using, and might well prevent you from seeing Dolby Vision if your cables aren’t rated for ultra high speed connections. More details >
1. AUDIO OUTPUT

2. CHANGE AUDIO FORMAT
Settings >
Video and Audio >
Audio Format >
select Off
Change Format >
select On

3. SELECT DOLBY FORMAT
Settings >
Video and Audio >
Audio Format >
Dolby Atmos >
select On
Change Format >
select Dolby Digital 5.1

4. Online Streaming (e.g Netflix, Prime Video, etc) with 5.1 surround
Settings >
Video and Audio >
Audio Format >
Change format set to On >
New format set to Dolby Digital 5.1

Observe the LED light status at the front of soundbar when playing content (3 LED = Dolby Digital; 2 LED = DTS)
Press INFO button on soundbar remote control to verify audio format received on soundbar (Dolby/DTS for best audio)
