NOTE

Connect Verizon FIOS TV Box (HDMI OUT) to TV HDMI input with a HDMI-certified High-Speed 2.0 cable (18Gbps) for high quality video and audio. Recommended HDMI Cable >

Audio will be sent out via TV's HDMI ARC to soundbar HDMI 1 ARC

Ensure your TV supports 5.1 channel pass-through via HDMI ARC. Click HERE to view a list of TV that supports 5.1 channel pass-through

 

Not all TV channels are broadcasting in Dolby Digital audio format. Refer to your channel info for more information.

The following instruction is based on Arris VMS 1100 set-top box. Visit HERE for all the manuals of available Verizon FIOS TV boxes.

1. AUDIO FORMAT

Press and hold the D key on the Verizon TV remote for 5 seconds and then release the key to display the BUI Main Menu >

User Settings >

Additional HDMI Settings >

Audio Output >

select Pass-Through

It is reported by Verizon TV users that certain TV boxes may experience popping sound on connected sound system. The issue occurs when switching TV channels under Dolby Digital audio.

 

Set the audio format to PCM will resolve the issue.

Observe the LED light status at the front of soundbar when playing content (3 LED = Dolby Digital; 2 LED = DTS)

Press INFO button on soundbar remote control to verify audio format received on soundbar (Dolby/DTS for best audio)
