STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE:

NOTE

Connect Sony Blu-ray Player (HDMI Out) to soundbar HDMI 2 or 3 (processing prioritized ports) with a HDMI-certified High-Speed 2.0 cable (18Gbps) for high quality video and audio. Recommended HDMI Cable >

For Dolby Atmos support, ensure your Bluray player is certified to support Dolby Digital Plus format at minimum (Dolby TrueHD format for lossless Dolby Atmos audio)

For DTS:X support, ensure your Bluray player is certified to support DTS-HD Master Audio format

For maximum stability, set YCbCr / RGB (HDMI) to AutoSee video setting space for detailed instructions >

Option 2 (For contents which require HDCP 2.2 standard):

Video: Connect Sony Blu-ray Player (HDMI Out) to TV with a HDMI-certified High-Speed 2.0 cable (18Gbps)

Audio: Connect Sony Blu-ray Player to soundbar with a Coaxial cable

For Bluray disc playback, check out your disc audio setup to verify the audio formats available. Select Dolby Digital or DTS audio tracks for optimal experience with the soundbar

select Auto

2. AUDIO FORMAT

Digital Audio Output >

select Auto

(set BD Secondary Audio to OFF to enable Dolby Atmos audio output)

3. AUDIO SETTINGS

Press Home button on the remote >

Setup >

Audio Settings >

set DSD Output Mode to OFF >

set DTS Neo:6 to OFF >

set 48khz/96khz/192khz PCM to 48khz >

set DSEE HX to Off >

set Audio DRC to Auto >

set Downmix to Surround

Press INFO button on soundbar remote control to verify audio format received on soundbar (Dolby Atmos / Dolby Digital / DTS for best audio)

Option 1: Switch the soundbar to HDMI input and observe the LED light status at the front of soundbar when playing content (3 LED = Dolby Digital; 2 LED = DTS)

 

Option 2: Switch the soundbar to Coaxial input and observe the LED light status at the front of soundbar when playing content (3 LED = Dolby Digital; 2 LED = DTS)

IMPORTANT

DOLBY ATMOS audio is LIMITED via HDMI ARC connection. Learn more >
