Easy Troubleshooting Methods

Most TVs and media players are programmed for automatic updates. Refreshing your Shockwafe soundbar will ensure that it is able to read these updates correctly.

Especially if you previously used another HDMI soundbar, we highly recommend performing a "HDMI refresh" to re-establish a stable HDMI communication between your TV and new soundbar.

Note: It is common for TVs to remember your old soundbar settings. Therefore, if a HDMI refresh is not performed after you install your new soundbar, it might give rise to audio performance or connectivity issues, for example a non-functioning CEC.

HDMI Refresh Procedure:

A. Soundbar System Refresh

  1. Power OFF the soundbar

  2. Unplug the soundbar's AC cord from the wall socket

  3. Wait for 5 minutes

  5. Power ON the soundbar
