RECOMMENDED AUDIO SETTINGS FOR BEST AUDIO EXPERIENCE

Recommended Setup: Connect the Sony Blu-ray player to soundbar's HDMI input

Step-By-Step Procedure:

Setting the audio output:

A) Go to Settings

B) Select Sound Settings

C) Select Audio Output Settings

D) Set Connector Type to HDMI (recommended for Ultra 9.2, Elite 7.2 and Pro 7.2 DTS:X) or Optical Audio (recommended for Pro 7.1)

 

Setting the secondary audio format:
A) Play the movie (this step is important)
B) Press the Options button on the controller
C) Go to Settings > Audio Format
D) Set to Dolby® Digital 5.1 / DTS 5.1 / Bitstream

PlayStation 4 HDR Setup:

Note: The PS4 must be connected directly from the PS4 to the TV to output HDR. It can’t be connected to a receiver (soundbar) or switch box.  

 

A) PS4 updated to system software 4.0 or later.

B) Using a Premium HDMI cable, connect the PS4 to the to the proper HDMI             port on the TV

C) Turn on your PS4

D) Go to the Video Output Information screen. Go to [Settings] > [Sound and           Screen] > [Video Output Settings]

E) Check the onscreen messaging to ensure your TV is HDR capable

F) In the Video Output Settings menu, set the HDR and Deep Color output              settings to Automatic
